St. Thomas Social Outreach Initiatives

April – June 2018

Ongoing– Empty beer and wine bottle collection. Outreach Depot in back parking lot. Funds going to St. Thomas Vacation Bible Camp and other ongoing Outreach projects.

April

An “Electronic Devices Drive” will be offered this month. A collection trailer will be in the back parking lot on the weekend of April 21-22. We will be accepting all electronic devices. Please make sure all your valuable information is taken off the hard drive before you donate. The funds from this initiative will be used to promote Outreach projects such as Vacation Bible Camp and other initiatives that “Help Us Help Others”

May

We will be collecting clean, gently used clothing for our Spring Clothing Drive. Please bring your items into the Narthex and leave them in the bins provided at the Social Outreach table. All men’s, women’s and children’s garments will be accepted and distributed to St. Vincent de Paul Society. They have requested assistance and are most appreciative of our donations.

June

We will be collecting backpacks and school supplies. We will be distributing these items to those in our immediate school communities, who need assistance in getting ready for school in the fall. We are aiming to collect back packs and an assortment of school supplies ranging from pencils, markers, notebooks, crayons, lunch containers, water bottles etc. We will put the supplies in the bags and distribute them where they are most needed.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Fest!!!

An amazing turnout throughout the day for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake-Fest! Thanks to all the many volunteers who worked so hard to make this event possible! See you again next year!
