Outreach Committee Updates

We pray that all parishioners, friends, and families of St
Thomas Parish are healthy and safe at this very trying time. The Outreach Committee
has chosen to make another donation on behalf of St Thomas, to the Flamborough
Food Bank in the amount of $200, and to the Hope Centre in the amount of $100 at this
time. This represents the balance of funds raised during the first quarter of 2020. Due
to the challenges posed by COVID 19, the Outreach Committee is unable to continue to
raise funds through our bottle collection initiative, nor are we able to collect needed
items for our community. Therefore, we would like to ask Parishioners to consider
making online donations to the charities most helped on your behalf, by the St. Thomas
Parish Outreach Committee during “normal” times. Please consider using the following
links to The Flamborough Food Bank, and The Hope Centre, to give what you can to
help others. We continue to pray for everyone’s health and safety, and for a resolution
to this pandemic. Thank you as always, for helping us to help others.

Outreach Committee Updates

During this difficult time the Outreach Committee continues to look for ways to offer support, prayer and assistance to anyone in  need in our parish and our community. This week we used money in our reserves from previous bottle return funds and donations to donate $200 to the Waterdown Hope Center/Eagles Nest, $200 to the Flamborough Food Bank and $200 to support migrant workers in Flamborough. We continue to meet as a committee and will continue to support areas of need in the future.  We pray that all of the parishioners of St Thomas Parish are healthy and safe and as always thank you for helping us help others.
